赫爾南勒茲

赫爾南勒茲（Franciso Hernândez），西班牙人，1637年代奧就擔任西班牙淡水長官，控制了北台灣淡水地區行政與軍事。他駐紮地方是淡水的「聖多明哥城」即是今紅毛城原址。他在任期間，為了防止南台灣的荷蘭進攻，並在今台灣淡水一帶興建修築工事，城砦甚至遠及今八里一帶。[1]。1642年，荷蘭攻打雞籠（今基隆）後，西班牙軍隊落敗；至此赫爾南勒茲與部分西班牙移民迅速撤離淡水地區。
