劉廷斌，四川溫江人，清朝武官官員。1826年（道光6年）奉旨接任陳化成擔任台灣鎮總兵。是清朝治臺期間，受台灣道制約的台灣地區最高軍事首長。
女兒
劉廷斌有一個女兒劉氏，隨父親在台灣居住，當父親過世之時，其眷屬共有一十七人在道光八年的春天，買了船隻準備內渡返鄉。在海上遇到海盜，全部被殺，其女兒劉氏頗有姿色而免於被殺。
被海盜帶到安海後，便買了大宅居住。十餘年過去了，生下四個孩子，沒有知道的人，該海盜亦沒有懷疑她。
一日，劉氏前往觀音寺禮佛，儀從烜赫，寺廟僧人以為是有錢人家的婦人，躬身獻茶，女顧之，輒愕眙。回去後，省遇害事，知為附舟客。越日復往，命僧人導觀寺內，屏人與語，即授一牒，提醒不要洩漏消息。僧人得知，連夜夜走數十里，進入泉州，投牒於當地知縣，並告訴這群盜的相聚餐飲的日期。知縣遣衙役逮捕，全部抓獲，一審問之下全招了，全部誅殺悉。
並縶四子，問何以處之，女曰：「吾忍辱十數年，為仇未報爾，若豈子哉！」遂手刃之，而後自經。
有官員聽到，奉旨旌表。
