美人蕉属（学名：Canna）是單子葉植物薑目美人蕉科（Cannaceae）的唯一屬，本科屬又稱為曇華科、曇華屬，目前已知約有11个已确定的物種[1]。
分布
原產於熱帶與亞熱帶地區。分布从北美东南部到南美。
特征
多年生草本，有塊狀根莖。常栽培做觀賞植物。具根茎，也有高达3米的直立茎。叶绿色或青铜色，螺旋排列。花不对称，发育雄蕊仅一枚，此雄蕊的半边具发育的药室，另半部花瓣状，退化雄蕊数枚，一枚向外反卷或成唇瓣，其余的均为花瓣状，真正的花瓣3枚。花，猩红色、橙红色或黄色，有时有不同颜色的斑点。该科植物广为观赏栽培。
