俄法戰爭（1812），即拿破崙征俄戰爭，是指沙皇俄国和拿破仑法国在1812年爆发的一场战争，是拿破仑战争的一部分。俄国将这场战争称为「Отечественная Война」，中文意思是“爱国战争”，一般将其称为卫国战争
中國抗日戰爭（1937－1945），是指20世紀30、40年代中國抵抗日本侵略之全面戰爭，也是第二次世界大戰東亞戰事的主要組成部分。一般以1937年7月7日發生的卢沟桥事变、以及1945年9月9日日本向中華民國國民政府投降為該戰爭之起訖時間，但在廣義上也可將1931年發生的九一八事變視為起始點。常別稱為八年抗戰，亦被部分人士稱為中國的衛國戰爭
蘇德戰爭（1941-1945年），是第二次世界大战期间苏联与納粹德国及双方盟国之间发生的战争，时间从1941年6月22日德国进攻苏联开始到1945年5月德国投降为止。納粹德国稱之為「東方戰線」（德語：die Ostfront），苏联則稱為「伟大的衛國戰爭」（俄语：Великая Отечественная Война）
