Winston Churchill High School (most commonly known as Churchill; also Winston or WCHS) is one of three public secondary schools in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, serving grades nine, ten, eleven, and twelve. Entry is loosely based on location in north Lethbridge.
Locally, Winston Churchill High School is often referred to by one of two aforementioned abridged titles. Individuals without a connection to the school are known to refer to it simply as Winston. This is in contrast with individuals that have dealt more closely with the school, who predominantly refer to it as Churchill.
Beginning in the 2003-2004 school year, Grade 9 students began attending the school, in accordance with a nearly province-wide grade reconfiguration that saw "middle" school become grades 6-8, and "high school" redefined as grades 9-12. The school offers several specialty programs, including the internationally recognized International Baccalaureate program.
