密纹唱片(英文:Long Playing record,简称LP)是一种每分钟33⅓转的乙烯基(如聚氯乙烯)材料制成的唱片,一般直径为10或12英寸。密纹唱片推出于1948年,在1988年激光唱片(CD)被广泛使用前一直是唱片音乐的首选发行形式。密纹唱片以模拟方式录音。1970年代及1980年代,随着微处理器和计算机技术等的进步,数码录音才真正变得可行。
故在使用有一定水準的器材情況下,密紋唱片的音質明顯優於CD;然而使用廉價器材時密紋唱片音質可能不如CD;在理論上提高解析度可以解決CD的缺點,因此有了SACD、DVD-Audio及High-Resolution Audio(高解析度非失真壓縮的數位音樂);但有些音響迷認為新媒體的音質還比不上CD、其中可能原因包括新媒體並非重新錄製、而是由舊的低解析度母帶升頻而成。而最新的數碼格式是High Fidelity Pure Audio則極為罕見。
