Robert Piva is a New Zealand former professional rugby league footballer who represented both New Zealand and Western Samoa.[1]

Playing career

A Wellington Rugby League player, Piva played for the Waterside, St. George, Randwick, Porirua City and Kapiti Bears clubs.[2][3] Piva then played for the Taranaki Rockets in the 1994 Lion Red Cup.[4] Halfway through the season he was signed by the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, and he moved to England.[5] After the 1994-5 English season had ended he returned to Australasia and played two seasons with the North Queensland Cowboys before spending one season in France.[citation needed]

In 2001 he played in the Bartercard Cup for the Porirua Pumas.[6]

Representative career

A Junior Kiwi, Piva was a Western Samoan, and New Zealand international and played at the 1995 World Cup for Western Samoa.
