Longtian Town (simplified Chinese: 龙田镇; traditional Chinese: 龍田鎮; pinyin: Lóngtián Zhèn) is a rural town in Ningxiang City, Hunan Province, China. It is surrounded by Gaoming Township on the west, Xiangzikou Town on the north, Qingshanqiao Town and Shatian Township on the east, and Qixingjie Town on the south. As of the 2000 census it had a population of 21,805 and an area of 72.5 square kilometres (28.0 sq mi).

Administrative division


The Town is divided into seven villages and one community, the following areas: Longtian Community (龙田社区), Huangnitian Village (黄泥田村), Dongtang Village (冬塘村), Yuetang Village (月塘村), Baihua Village (白花村), Geshanchong Village (隔山冲村), Qili Village (七里村), Hengling Village (横岭村) and Shiwu Village (石屋村).



Economy


The region abounds with manganese.[1]



Culture


Huaguxi is the most influence local theater.



Transportation


The 1816 Provincial Highway (1816省道) from Anhua County, runs through Longtian Town and Qingshanqiao Town to Xiangxiang City.[1]
